Pasco Sport Complex
Wiregrass Ranch Sports complex in Wesley Chapel is scheduled to open on July 2020. The main supporting beams have been placed in the past week. The 44 million dollar sports complex will have 98,000 square feet of indoor space and will feature eight basketball courts or 16 volleyball courts plus a competitive cheering and dance studio and an athletic training center. The Center is designed for maximum flexibility and can be configured to support virtually any indoor sport. The Center can also accommodate conventions, banquets, and concerts.
The Pasco County Board of Commissioners estimates the Center will generate actual revenues in excess of $4 million dollars a year. Concurrently, the Center's wide range of sporting events will attract thousands of teams and their supporting followers which translates into increased tourist income for all of Central Pasco. Combining the Sports Complex and the Center Ice ice rinks, the planned Tennis Center in Zephyrhills and an aquatics center in Land O Lakes the County will have a year-long athletic calendar to fill.
It is important to note that the Center will also support the outdoor offerings as well including seven outdoor playing fields, an event amphitheater, walking trails, and a playground. Clearly, Pasco County is assembling a wide array of sport and fitness facilities which will make the County an amateur sports destination second to none.
