Central Pasco Straight Ahead
Wesley Chapel was once a sleepy little village placed somewhere on the far side of the moon. Now Wesley Chapel is the destination for central Pasco County and one of the fastest-growing areas in Florida and beyond. Central Pasco growth has been fueled by continually improving highways, byways and access roads which fuels residential, retail and commercial growth, and enhanced and expanded medical, educational and athletic facilities. All these elements moving upward and onward have expanded our tax base which has translated to a billion-dollar budget for Pasco County.
Here’s the development scorecard and here are some of the winners who will benefit from a billion-dollar expenditure. Projects that have been dreaming for decades, (the Ridge Road extension) and the State Road extension to the furthest reaches of SR 301), now have completion dates and new dreams emerging that Pasco County will be a national/international
Sports destination for all types of athletic endeavors: soccer, baseball tennis, swimming, track and field, cheerleading, and hockey. Now re-named the Sports Coast, Central Pasco has more than 20 residential communities under construction and the SR54/SR56 25-mile corridor from Trinity to beyond Wiregrass has more than 150 restaurants, coffee shops, gas stations of great magnificence and pizza parlors.
County Planners expect the Sports Coast will attract millions of athletes and their families who will reserve millions of hotel rooms and restaurant tables. And, as for Real Estate, sale prices are moving up and the average home is selling for $250,000 with plenty of upsides.
Wesley Chapel, Land O Lakes, and Lutz are seeing increased growth and choice. If you're looking for a little less activity we recommend Dade City.
